Always fighting for joy

I started lettering as a hobby a few years ago, after my husband gifted me my first set of lettering supplies. I didn't know then we'd be walking through a season of loss, shortly after I had started my new hobby of lettering. I had always been dabbling in art of some kind, through graphic design, painting, photography and eventually lettering. When we went through two miscarriages, the Lord graciously used my new found lettering to become a place of healing. I lettered scriptures and quotes that became sources of hope for my grieving mama heart. I created pieces for others that were walking a road of grief. What a growing season that was!
I am now able to look at some fruit from the seeds of grief in that season. Being able to use my art to glorify God, bless others, or bring truth and encouragement to hearts is something that brings me so much joy. Creating art for others, painting His word or some beauty in the world He made has been a gift for me. I pray with each piece that goes out that it will bring hope and beauty to the one that receives it but that it also points them back to the Maker of beauty, our Lord Jesus Christ. To God be the glory!
